Summary of this place: very good food, but extremely understaffed. This is my second time at this location and have had the same experience across both instances. The food is very good, we ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu and Spicy DanDan, but it took about 45 minutes to receive our food after being sat. The restaurant itself is a small place with limited seats, so there can be a long wait depending on the crowd. Unfortunately, while the food was great, it is not worth the slow service. There were only three people operating the whole restaurant, so it was difficult to get drink refills, orders took a long time, and took an additional 20 minutes after we were done to get our checks and pay before we could leave.

First time here and it was absolutely amazing. Me and my husband got so much food for a really good price. The food has the perfect amount of flavor. We definitely will be returning in the near future 10/10 definitely recommend.

Used to be my favorite Ramen spot , now not so much food quality and service have gone down the guy who took our order is really moody like he didn't want to be there, the rib on the rib Tonkotsu was hard to bite into not like before extremely soft that just pulled apart and also noticed on my resent visit the trash on the floor behind the kitchen. Please to the owner stop by address this hiccups and bring back that Waya that I love.

Very much an itzakaya. Everything I have had on the menu has been great. The wagyu sushi is amazing. The gyoza. All the ramens. I love the ambiance. Both times I have been there has been a line, but it was worth the wait! I will definitely go back.

Curry Ramen and Black Tonkotsu Ramen. Best Ramen I have had in a LONG time. Less than $20 each and better than any expensive place charging $28 for the same thing. The only change is that I’m going to ask to put some egg yokes in the Black Tonkostu to even out the oil a bit more.

This is our second time here, and I can’t believe we didnt leave a review the first time. Between the two of us we’ve traveled to Japan quite a bit and have had a lot of food. This place is so spot on and made us feel the nostalgia of being back in Japan. We got the Pork yakisoba, premium miso ramen, ground pork curry rice, spicy pork gyoza, an pork miso onigiri. Everything was awesome. The ramen broth is so perfect, and the yakisoba reminded me of the one I’d get from an old lady in Japan. We don’t live close by anymore but we will keep coming back any chance we get.

The food here was INCREDIBLE and well worth the wait. To be transparent, I did wait almost an hour around dinner time (7pm). The inside is tiny and there isn’t even a proper “waiting” area. I’ve also tried coming here before, and there was also a long wait. I’m glad I decided to stick it out this time. We ordered the Wagyu sushi, Yakitori, Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, and the Tomato Ramen. The Wagyu sushi is torched right in front of you! The Wagyu was incredibly tender and the sauce was delicious. My only *nitpicky* critique is the rice was ever so slightly too moist, but that didn’t stop me from inhaling the sushi. Next, the Yakitori was phenomenal. I’ve never had such tender chicken in my life. There was a nice layer of delicious sauce coating the skewer. Again, just a really nitpicky feedback I have was that I wish the Yakitori had the tiniest bit more char to it, but nevertheless was an incredible bite, and I’d 100% order again in a heartbeat. Onto the ramen - easily hands down one of the best ramen I’ve had in DFW. The broth is flavorful, and I love the noodles. I’m not sure if they’re handmade from scratch, but they had the perfect thickness and chewiness. I also loved generous the portion of cha shu slices. Most other places only give you 1-2 thin slices, but that was not the case here. The pork was tender. The ajitama was solid too, although I prefer more of a soft-boiled egg. While the meat portion is more generous here, the tonkotsu didn’t come with many vegetables. A lot of other ramen places I’ve been to will have corn, fried garlic, etc as default, but those are all additional cost add-ons here. The ramen was delicious without them though but just something to note. We also got the tomato ramen as it’s the chef recommendation. The dish is very creative and the execution was great. Personally, I still prefer traditional ramens but it was certainly a nice culinary creation to try. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would come here again. Just be aware there may be a wait, and because they’re so busy, you do have to proactively flag down staff. However, the staff are still really nice despite all the tasks they’re juggling at once.
